Have your Fire TV remote and activation message within reach. Check the model in Settings, then follow the matching app-installation section below. Once your player is connected to Guru IPTV, use the channel list to decide what to watch first.
Part 1
Get the Downloader App on Firestick
- 1. Open the FireStick home screen and go to Find > Search.
- 2. Type "Downloader" using the virtual keyboard and select it from suggestions.
- 3. Choose the orange-background Downloader app and click Get / Download.
Part 2
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Version 1 (most Firesticks):
- 1. Press the Home button, then open Settings (gear icon).
- 2. Go to My Fire TV > Developer Options.
- 3. Enable "Apps from Unknown Sources".
Version 2 (newer models):
- 1. Open Settings > My Fire TV > About.
- 2. Tap "Fire TV Stick" 7 times to unlock Developer Options.
- 3. Open Developer Options and allow Downloader under Install unknown apps when you reach the app installation step.
